New to this site.My mum was diagnosed with stage 1 endometrial cancer last November, after some minor and a couple of major bleeds for nearly a year. She has multiple health issues and as a result she can't have surgical treatment. They are treating with hormone therapy - provera? When we ask about prognosis, we are being fobbed off. She has had 2 follow up appointments and each time they have taken a biopsy which still show cancerous cells. What do we need to watch out for and what is the prognosis of someone who is solely treated with hormones. Does anyone know?

Hi there,
We are sorry to hear about mum’s diagnosis , this must be a worrying time for the family.
When making treatment decisions the cancer team has to make sure that the treatment will have more benefit than harm for the patient. This will be why they have chosen the progesterone ( provera) treatment for mum to see if can halt the disease progression to keep mum safe.
