Hi Tina, Probably best to avoid any form of cola drinks - not all brands are gluten free but even if you stick to the branded forms there are the other problems with the drink to consider. Firstly they are full of caffeine which is not good for people with Coeliac disease, secondly depending on the choice there is the syrup/sugar content which is bad for the gut, thirdly if choosing diet variations there is the questionable sweeteners included.

This may be of interest to you - a person who is a cola drinker has found this problem:

Here is the Coca Cola website - I couldn't find anywhere that states that it is gluten free.

I emailed coca cola and they said that their cola is gluten free, I email firms and usally they are only too happy to tell you which foods are gluten free. Pepsi cola was not as obliging. Wish you well

In general the well known brands tend to be ok as far gluten goes but be very cautious with supermarket own brands and read the labels. They tend to have gluten in. I wouldn't buy the stuff on tap in pubs.

I rarely drink fizzy drinks but do find coke useful if I am getting a migraine - caffeine in the beginning stages changes the blood flow in the brain and can stop the headache developing.

Coke can be too harsh on a sensitive tummy, it's very acidic. Drink with care!

WHAT???????? first wine and now this... :(.. I thought coke was GF

Coca Cola is GF but supermarket own brands might not be. I think this is one like alcohol, red wine, high fat, etc where you should only have in moderation. The answer with all disease is to still be able to get to the point where you can live well and enjoy life.

Nooooooooooooooooo!

Coke is one of my only guilty pleasures!

Not ideal for sensitive tummies, but when cake, crisps, chocolate etc is a no go, I do like my wee Coke fix!

Okay, so, not wine or coke in pubs, now Marmite's dodgy (sob), and what's this with coffee?

I love coke, it is my favourite addiction!! however i just cannot tolerate it any more :( any more than 2-3 sips and it causes instant Diarroeh. I find that i tend to stick to a few cups of tea a day then mainly stick to water.

I prefer to stick to the cake, crisps and chocolate! And coffee has not got gluten in, it's just that it upsets some people - I like to drink my filter coffee with cream. You need to find the treats that work for you!
