Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me with my test results.
My IGa came back slightly low,
0.63 range 0.7 - 4.0
And my Ttg came back normal,
0.1 range 01 - 10.0
I know a deficiency in Iga can create a false negative coeliac test but would it be this low?
I was wondering if anyone on here had low Iga and got diagnosed with Coeliac disease.
I was also wondering what the next step would be as I am anxious about battling the doctor for more tests.
He has never heard of IGg, DGg or Ema. So I don't know if I could convince him to test for them and I feel its going to be a big push to get him to send me for a Biopsy.
Should I push?

Yes push. Those results don’t tell you anything. The test needs repeating. Are you in the UK? GP should know the EMA, and igG alternative test needs to be done when total igA low. Low result is low.
Some labs automatically do the IgG testing when the igA result falls out of range.
Alternatively try to get referral to a specialist especially if you sick with symptoms.
Here’s a great blog article on how to interpret different coeliac lab results.
Coeliac disease runs strongly in my family so I’ve been tested regularly over the past 30 years cause it can just develop ( blood tests and endoscopy )
I had severe food poisoning and it triggered coeliacs disease- endoscopy is the most reliable way to diagnose, my results always came back negative via blood test even when food poisoning triggered the condition, but endoscopy results where positive .
