Hi. I don't know if anyone can help but I received my coeliac tests results back today and I'm totally confused by them.
I was expecting a simple negative or positive result but what I have on my online results shows:
Tissue transglutaminaise IgG level 0.7 u/ml
Tissue transglutaminaise IgA level 0.4 u/ml
No reference ranges. From looking online to try and find out whether its negative or positive I'm pretty clear that this is a negative reading but some sites seem to indicate that these levels might show a deficiency? They all seem to have different measurement types to this and some refer to total IgA rather than ttg so I'm a bit lost. It could be that these readings are fine but if anyone has any comment so that I can ensure I ask the right questions when I talk to the consultant it would be much appreciated

Tissue transglutaminaise IgA level is 43 U/mL with a range 0.10 - 3.5 U/mL - so your result is within range on this test.
The only other test on my blood report for this is Endomysial antibody IgA level, and it just states positive.
If you try and google Tissue transglutaminaise IgG you can't tell if the answer's you get are exactly what you are looking for, and I can understand why you are wondering about the antibody deficiency - I would be too if I were you.
Fantastic thank you. I couldn't find anywhere with ranges so it looks like its on the low end so worth me flagging for discussion when they ring to see if its possibly skewing results 👍
