Yes.

Anxiety and depression can be just physical expressions of food allergies, it's maybe more common for people with proper allergies or histamine intolerance.

The thing is that the mind don't put any value in the messages it gets. So when one eats something that the body can't tolerate, then histamines will drop the blood pressure, speed up heart rate, tighten chest, give muscle tensions etc.

And those expressions are very similar to anxiety. The fatigue etc is similar to depression.

Anxiety and panic attack are differential diagnosis that docs n nurses are aware of, if someone enters ER with anaphylaxis.

So, a lot of people feel like their mood becomes better when they exclude allergenes.

But this is not always the case, because depression might have another root cause.

Yes I had relief from depression after I removed gluten from my diet following a coeliac diagnosis. I also had relief from many other symptoms including bladder irritation and suddenly I was able to wear earrings again. However anxiety and depression crept back and I am currently treating vitamin B12 and D deficiency which are common in coeliac disease due to absorption problems. If you look at Dr Chandys website you will find interesting material. Magnesium supplementation has found to be more effective in treating depression than antidepressants. When supplementing B12 or Vit D you need to be taking cofactors. FB groups New beginnings vit B12 deficiency and vit D and cofactors. Hope this helps.
