Thank you to everyone who responded to my post. I have seen my consultant today and he has told me categorically that I do not have coeliac as bloods are negative (ttg and ema) he says the increase in lymphocytes shown in biopsy can be there for anyone with inflammation (I do have crohns but told inactive) He didn't really have any answers about how ill I am and said I can try some IBS treatment and go back in 4 months

Perhaps you could talk to a dietician about trying a Low Fodmaps diet?

sorry to hear no solid answers have been found for you since your recent tests. I have been struggling for the past 7 years following a bad appendicitis resulting in major abdominal surgery.

whilst I recovered very well from this I then started to have awful problems and after much to-ing and fro-ing to the hospital for just about every (other) test under the sun, bearing in mind I'd had 6 months of tests prior to the appendectomy, nothing was found. I was NEVER !!! tested for CD !!! though I am hlaDQ2 positive.

In desperation I eliminated gluten from my diet and I immediately felt better. Saying this it has taken me 2 years to really get a handle on things, there are many other foods which can upset me and it sometimes takes weeks to get over it.

It is quite un-nerving how little seems to be known and my GP can only make suggestions, most of which i've already researched, though it is worth asking and listening.

I could go on and on, but possibly you could gain answers by keeping a very strict food diary and go back to basics whenever you have a setback and then add different foods very cautiously.

If I can help with suggestions on foods which I do eat and foods I have to avoid, please don't hesitate to ask
