get a full medical checkup first...just to check if there is any hormon imbalance or other issues..
I had awful hair loss when I was first diagnosed as I was so anaemic. It lasted about 3 months and then stopped. It was very distressing at the time.
Hello - I too think you need a blood test to see if you are lacking in something. I lost some hair and my blood test found I was low in folic acid. 2 months of tablets sorted it out. Go and see your GP and let us know how you get on. Best wishes
Coeliac disease is often diagnosed when ferritin levels fall. Low ferritin levels often result in hair loss. Other metabolic diseases that cause hair to fall include thyroid diseases; hormones - like testosterone levels; so it is important to get blood tests done to establish what exactly the cause is.
Cutting hair just makes it shorter, it does nothing to alleviate hair loss, just looks less in the shower tray when it is short.
