I had a gastroscopy on the 27th June, they said my duodenum looked atrophied, and took biopsies. Does anyone know how long is usual to wait for results?
I'm thinking on phoning the gastroenterologist, but don't want to be too impatient!! I am in Kent.
Thanks for your help x

I had my results about 10 days after my endoscopy. I had them given to me face-to-face by a gastroenterologist. Half an hour later I also saw the dietician. This was over two years ago now (and I'm in the Midlands).
I think you have probably waited long enough and should make that phone call to start the process of getting your results. In my opinion you wouldn't be being impatient - far from it, I think you may have been too patient!
I agree, you have waited long enough. The lab takes about a fortnight for jejunal biopsy results. Ring the gastroenterologist's secretary and/or your GP (where the results may have been sent).
I phoned the gastroenterologists pa yesterday and left a message, they didn't get back to me and don't work on Mondays. So still waiting for the time being.
It's really starting to get to me this whole waiting and not knowing 😞
