Has anyone, anywhere, managed to buy a GF sandwich at Costa on the motorways?

Apparently they do them, but every store I've stopped at say they don't stock it there.

We have a CC in our town centre and they never have anything other than a (v.expensive) choc brownie to offer me. Would kill for a GF sarnie when I'm out! Yum!

All I've ever found in big chain coffee shops are very expensive, very sickly sweet chocolate brownies and salads at Pret. Has anyone ever found a GF sarnie anywhere?

Yes, some of the bigger M&S shops sell gf sandwiches - I had a cheese and pickle one the other day. a bit chewy, but OK. Look for the green packaging - like their other gf products.

Didn't know Starbuck do GF rolls, only the GF salads and, of course, those sickly inedible brownies! Does anyone ever buy these?

I have often wondered (and I have complained to M &S about their restaurants) why they think that Coeliac's only like sickly chocolate cakes etc........

I know that this is not what you asked, but alot of motorway services have an M&S which is where I sometimes buy lunch if we're travelling. I haven't seen any GF sarnies in there, but they do some GF salads. Don't know if that's of any interest to you...

I've had gf sandwiches from both Starbucks and m&s. Both sorts were ok. I've heard too that Cafe Nero have begun to introduce something similar. Costa have often confirmed that they don't but should!

I really should just make my own to take. I usually have a Waitrose or a Starbucks one if I can get them before they sell out, but I had heard Costa had started doing them. Obviously not though!

I recently bought a chicken roll and a chocolate brownie in a Tesco Cafe. There was Costa signs all over but I later noticed my receipt had another name on that meant nothing to me - a franchise? Though I didn't check the brand on the roll packet, the brownie was definitely Costa.

Yesterday I tried to purchase a sandwich or salad to takeaway from a large Tesco. There was absolutely nothing suitable.
