Is a teaspoon of baked beans enough to cause a glutening?

Was out last night and tried a small teaspoon of the beans before I checked for wheat - stupid I know but new to this I didn't think it would be enough to cause a problem but severe joint pain before I fell asleep and cramps and diarrhoea this morning plus I feel a but fuzzy...

They were home made from scratch at the restaurant and they have confirmed wheat was used to thicken the sauce. On hols in Florida at the moment - finding they put wheat in different things to the UK and don't use it when I would expect them too! Thanks for your response - must be getting more sensitive the less gluten I eat

My consultant told me I could expect to get more sensitive and this has proved true over just 3-4 years.

Its a shame that gluten isn't like allergies and the more you eat the less sensitive you become! Having said that hayfever doesn't work that way either but is a lot easier to live with. :)

With allergies, the more exposure you have to an allergen, the worse the reaction can be.
