I was drinking ozonated water whilst receiving radiotherapy, and have a severe loss of hearing in my right ear as my radiotherapy was in my right temporal lobe. So depending on the location of your treatment it might be worthwhile having an audiology test after treatment.
I originally clamed Disability Living Allowance, which was changed to PiP, and have been subjected to 2 incompetent ATOS PiP assessments, which only lasted for 20 minutes, which is far too short a time period for an acquired brain injury. The second Assessor was qualified to assess people with learning disabilities! Both of the ATOS assessments were challenged and over turned, the first by a tribunal, the second by DWP, who could not understand why my assessment could not be a paper based one.
When completing the SR1 form you must relate the information to what occurs on your worst day(s), not your best days. It would be worthwhile asking you Oncologist for a letter outlining the side effects of treatment and your tumour.
Record all telephone conversations you have with benefits staff and depending on how you might be feeling at the time of an assessment, you do have a right for your assessment to be undertaken at your home.
Hope this helps, if you have any questions, please do ask them.
Stay positive and concentrate on living you life in the best possible way you can.
Hi ThanksI have a meeting with the welfare team connected to the Cancer hospital they are handing the SR1 side of things so hopefully they know what to put. Will make a note of the water you mentioned. Mine was in the left temporal.
