hi all, my husband who is approaching 50 had surgery just over 2 weeks ago to remove a GBM4 tumour from left frontal lobe. Recovering well and will start radio/chemo soon. Any advice and guidance on diet, general lifestyle, vitamins etc as to how i can best support. Sending positive vibes to all💫

Hi there, glad to hear that all has been going well with your husband. My Dad just turned 74 and had his debulking operation July ‘21 and finished his 12th round of TMZ in August this year. I’ve just taken him away for the weekend with my Mum and husband. He is absolutely amazing and has kept going all weekend. He has enjoyed walking and visiting new places. I would say that a positive mindset (most of the time) a balanced diet and keeping active has been helpful to my Dad. I know it’s not always possible for everyone, but taking time out to go for a walk each day has been a godsend to my Dad. He does get tired and makes sure he rests, but he tries to enjoy life as best he can. He really is a miracle to me and I’m so proud of all that he has been through.

Wishing your husband and you all the very best.

We are trying to keep a positive mindset as best we can, i guess thats all any of us can do as well as maintaining a health lifestyle. Wishing your Dad and your family the very best, take care 🤗

Hi Fizzy_Pop

I was diagnosed with a grade 4 glio (right temporal lobe) in May 2010; it is possible to live beyond a prognosis. Has anyone directed you to the Brain Tumour Charity's website and BRIAN APP?

The BRIAN APP is a good source of information and I have placed several postings on the Discussion Board, which you and your husband might find useful, especially about diet, alternative treatment, etc.

The best thing you can both do at the moment is to stay positive and live your lives in the best possible way; spend time laughing together and planning for a positive future together. Most important is to cut out any unnecessary sugar which feeds cancer cells.🙂

I wish you both the very best for the journey you have just begun.

Hey Tansi75, great to hear from you, thank you so much for your advice and inspiration. I have seen some of your posts on here and admire you and thank you for sharing. Trying to stay positive as we can, some days harder than others, I have told him about the App so hopefully he will use it. Wishing you the best always, and thank you again .🙂
