Worst Possible Day

Yesterday we reached that unwanted milestone in my wife’s illness where we have decided to stop her targeted immune therapy. Although we were fortunate to have the opportunity to have this treatment it has provided minimal benefit and receiving it has exhausted her. After a tortuous journey of 14 months we are now in the care of the local hospice team with the main objective of maximising my wife’s quality of life.

I'm sorry to hear your news and the difficult decision you have had to take.I hope you are able to give your wife the best possible quality of life she can have under the circumstances, and create new memories to cherish. Stay strong and try to laugh together as much as possible. Sending you lots of positive waves and best wishes.

Thank you for your kind comments. Unfortunately to make it worst the tumour is sited in her speech and memory areas.
