Has anyone any experience of using paracetamol to lower eye pressure? Have found some studies where 1g of paracetamol taken every six hours can lower pressure to a comparable rate of some eyedrops????

I remember reading something like that a while ago. I think I wouldn't like to try it as paracetamol can adversely affect the liver taken long term. You would need 8 x 500g tablets a day. It makes you wonder how many other things can affect eye pressure.

Hello, some research has shown paracetamol can potentially lower eye pressure, particularly in individuals with open-angle glaucoma. However, further studies are needed to fully understand this and paracetamol is not an approved treatment for glaucoma.
