I have NTG in both eyes and use Fixapost drops, which seemed to work at first. My latest OCT showed a bleed in the back of my eye which the consultant says indicates my pressure has been too high at some point. It has been suggested I have cataract surgery and an I-Stent fitted at the same time. Does anyone have experience of this procedure please?

I-Stent for NTG
had I stent and cataract surgery 4weeks ago for the same reasons as you
The whole procedure took 20 minutes
I can honestly say it was nothing to worry about .
There was absolutely no pain. They put so many local anaesthetic eye drops in.
My advice would be to put an alarm
In your phone when you are due your eye drops . I’ve only just finished my antibiotics and anti inflammatory eye drops
My eye feels good . Just waiting for my follow up with consultant, then will have my left eye done.
Just make sure you follow the post op advice snd you will be fine

I had cataract and istent in Nov. I have NTG also, it really was easy, just glare in the sunlight for couple of days and 1 month of steroids and antibiotics, plus my normal eye drops was 12 times per day so had all the times set on my alarm on my Apple Watch
