Blurred subtitles

I use subtitles when watching TV because I have a hearing loss. Recently some subtitles have become a bit blurred. I am wondering whether anyone else with glaucoma or cataracts experiences this and whether it is a result of one of these conditions.

Thank you.

Hello,

It could be cataracts causing the issue you are experiencing.

If the blurriness is constant and you have noticed a significant change recently, then you need to contact your consultant and make them aware. Don't worry if you are not due be seen soon, you can call the eye secretary so they can pass your concerns over to the consultant and get back to you.

If the blurriness changes throughout the day, it is probably dry eye. There are many different dry eye drops available from the pharmacist.

If you have not had an NHS eye test within the past six months, do that first. The consultant will want to know that .
