I have noticed my pupil size is sometimes quite large before putting in eye drops - then becomes noticeably smaller afterwards (this seems to be an effect of the drops not a change in lighting) - any other similar experience or thoughts - should I be worried about this?

You do not mention the name of the drops you are using. If it is Pilocarpine, it will constrict the pupil to widen the drainage channel.
