I am due to go back this month but the past few weeks I have had a like a dull ache, almost throb at the back of my eyes. My eye lids are still tender to touch and when I glance my eyes to the side this causes discomfort. Should it still be like this after 6 months please?
My actual microshunts seemed to take much longer to heal and vision to return than most people who have experienced this.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s never felt perfect or fully normal since the operations but the past few weeks I maybe just notice it more. It seems to have got more uncomfortable.
Thank you. 💖

Hello. I would advise that you contact your eye specialist via the eye secretary. Your eye specialist is the only one who can examine your eye or give you their opinion. We are all different in how our bodies respond and heal but because you are noticing something different, it does need checking.
Since my Preserflo implants I have had dry eyes , especially noticable when I finished all the post op drops. Have you any eye lubricants ? Your GP should prescribe them. I find that if I use these regularly then my eyes are far more comfortable. Otherwise the implants are working well after about 2 and a half years.
At the moment this very humid atmosphere is excellent for me ,but I still use the eye lubricants. In the winter without these frequent drops I can have blurry vision and they can also be tender and sore .
Sorry if you already know all this, but just in case it may help whilst waiting to see your eye medic.
