Hello, lve had Glaucoma for over 20years and normally use geltears and clinitas gel ,l have never had any problems getting them on prescription. That was until recently the clinitas has been out of stock for over 2 months ,l just wondered if anyone else is having the same problems

Yes , My brother uses both of those and having the same problems in South of England. I'm having problems getting mine also which is Systane Ultra. I have had to change prescription from the vials to the bottle but not happy with them as they contain preservatives.

I have gone online and ordered Optrex night Gel which is what I used to use before Systane , but unable to get them on prescription.

Amazon has some Clinitas Gel for sale if that helps

It really is annoying when you have a kind of set formula for your eyes then all of a sudden you can’t get them anymore! I was using clinitas and hyloforte for many years and with the shortage, have tried all the alternatives that hospital/pharmacy have given me but they all seem to irritate my eyes and thinking that’s due to preservatives (that my eyes just do not like!). I recently managed to get a nurse who did my last injection, to give me viscotears preservative free vials, which seem to work but are a pain to get out the little plastic thing (I’m 41 so no problems yet with my hands!). My Gp agreed to put these on prescription until clinitas is back. I don’t think they were keen as I’m sure these must be expensive!

I've just ordered some more Clinitas Soothe Multi off Amazon that claimed to be in stock so hopefully they turn up soon.

I've been struggling though to get Xailin Night Ointment which is very frustrating.
