Hello, recently had the microshunt in both eyes, 3'months since my last eye now. Been going ok, pressures down from 46 to 9
This might sound daft but when I close my eyes like tightly, and sometimes when blinking the eye feels like it's got something in it at the back.
Now saying that out loud does sound daft as I'm fully aware there is something in the eye as in the tube but the eyeball is still very tender to touch and feels like a constant ache. Is this normal please? Has anybody experienced it.
Thank you. X

Hello. It could be that your eye is still healing and settling down, or perhaps feeling dry. I don't know if your eye specialist has recommended artificial tear drops. Either way, it would be advisable to contact your eye specialist for some advice.
I wonder if you have some irritating stitches? One of my eyes had stitches that brushed against the inner eyelid when I blinked, once removed it was more comfortable.
Agree with Helen that maybe you have dry eyes. Both my eyes are dry since the post op drops were completed after the shunts were implanted ,now eye lubricants instilled regularly make such a positive difference.
Glad to hear that the pressures have reduced so well, hope that continues. Both my eyes are about 9 -12 after 2 and a half years post op and without any glaucoma medication.
