Hi! Is anyone else having problems getting hold of Azopt drops. My (online) pharmacy can't seem to get hold of them and it's been a few months now?

Hello, we are not aware of any problem with production of Azopt. Your pharmacist could call the manufacturer directly to find out. Alot of the time it is the wholesalers (AAH) problem. Again, the pharmacist could call them and find out.

Thank you for your comments. I will get back to the pharmacy and find out which wholesalers they are using.

The wholesaler will be AAH.

So are AAH the only source of Azopt then?

AAH are the wholesalers for all drug companies and they distribute to pharmacies for the manufacturers.

My usual pharmacy can't get them, but an independent pharmacy did manage. Unfortunately, it's Mylan's version of Brinzilomide and they seem to have a larger dropper, making it harder to control the size of drop.

Thanks for the update, seems like the system is going to pot, post Brexit!

If you contact the manufacturer Novartis they will tell you that there no supply issues. The wholesalers will tell you they have no stock and the chemists will tell you they can not order from the wholesalers when they have no stock.

Azopt is manufactured in the EU so it appears to be new customs rules after Brexit are making all deliveries to the UK take between 1-2 months.

You can buy Azopt over the counter with no prescription in Spain for 6 euros or France with a UK prescription for 5 euros.

NHS GP will change you to a cheap generic versions that will cause most of the problems outlined by patients.

The EU has a Law for patients Medication that the UK government will not join so the NHS can prescribe cheaper generic medication.

Yes it's crazy, I've bought it over the counter in Cyprus before now, and post Brexit it's all gone haywire!!
