Hi, last Thursday I had both my eyes cataract removed from each on the same day. It went very well, I have been using the eye drops every 4 hours as instructed. My eyes are very red inside but my vision is ok. I am hoping that this is normal and wonder how long they will be so bloodshot for?

Hi, when I had my cataracts done, one of my eyes was very bloodshot. My consultant wasn’t concerned at all and I think it lasted just over a week. Can’t remember exactly, but it faded quite quickly and all was well. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hi. It does take a little while for this to clear. Your vision is good which is a good sign. I agree that it can take up to a week sometimes.

Glad all went well. Just got a date for my left eye in a couple of weeks. Were you able to see clearly the next day? It's a long time since I had my first cataract op and I'd already lost vision due to glaucoma at the time.
hi, I had no problem seeing obviously a little blurry but not too bad.
