Hi all,
Just found this forum, some great information here for someone who has only recently been diagnosed with glaucoma (despite having OCH for 15 years) in my right eye.
Due to the progression of the disease (with medication drops no longer working) a decision was made for me to have SLT. Unfortunately this sent my IOP through the roof, up to 50+ and after a number of emergency trips to A&E a decision was made to have an emergency Preserflo insertion. My eye was super blurry, so much so it was almost impossible to see anything out of it.
I have had two post operative check ups (three if you include the one the day after), one at one week and then the last one at three weeks. They were happy with the progress of the operation and are now wanting to see me again in 6 weeks. The have said that there is some mild to moderate damage to my optic nerve.
My vision has not come back in my eye to the level it was before and still fluctuates between blurry moments and moments where there is no blur but not very functional (limited focus about an arms length, any closer or further away means it becomes out of focus).
They have said that it can take 2/3 months for vision to settle down but all the reading on these procedures indicate that vision is normally back after two weeks. I am currently at week 3.5 and and am wondering if this is normal and nothing to worry about but do worry why my vision should still be fluctuating?
