Anyone got any advice on, or experience of, playing racket sports with glaucoma? I play Squash, Racketball and Tennis and only got diagnosed because of issues tracking a squash ball! I am managing the situation and my opticians have been great in helping me continue to play.

Hello Double-dot.

Firstly check with your consultant if you can carry on playing these sports. You may have done so already.

It is important that you wear protecting eyewear when playing any contact sport or sports that include rackets and balls.

Thanks, that is indeed good advice. The only limitation on me playing these sports is my ability to track the ball! My optician has been great in providing protective eyewear but there isn’t much information out there on peoples experiences and I am happy to share my successes and failures too.
