I had a preserflo inserted almost 8 weeks ago and have had low pressure since (3-5 iop). In the last couple of days my eye has been watering a fair bit but mainly has been really itchy under my eyelid like (an eyelash or grit is under it) . Any ideas what this could be or is it just dry eye due to heat.

itchy eyelid after preserflo
This is really interesting as I had my first Trab 2 weeks ago and my pressure has been too low since sitting at 2-3 - my eyelid has also been really itchy and looks a little bit fat and red and eye waters mainly in morning when I first get up. Perhaps a feature of too low pressure? Each case and eye is so unique so I guess only the experts could answer that in your circumstances.
Do you have a follow up with the consultant coming up? If not maybe get in touch with the medical secretary to pass on a message and see if you can be seen for reassurance.
They’ve been so good seeing me every few days post Trab with my low pressure issues I’m sure they’d want to check you over. Tmr I’m having a gel inserted to inflate my eye to bring the pressure up a bit, got the absolute fear!
Good luck and I hope it settles soon X
Hi I had itching, like dust eyelash like you described and red under my right eye a few weeks after surgery. Told the surgeon on my check up and he looked under the eye and said it was - I’m sorry but I can’t remember or pronounce it - he said he would scrapped it off as it was in my eyelid. So he turned the eye lid inside out, scrapped it off and within seconds, my eye felt normal again. Sorry I can be more helpful or remember the name of it.
Hello Sarahmb81.
I would suggest you get back to the consultant, especially as you ay you can feel something under your eyelid.
