Well, wonders will never cease ! Just got a follow up appointment come through the post to say I have to attend on the 12th August for a follow up after Trab surgery last April, have had a couple of previous appointments last year and the last time I was there, they said we will see you in 3 months, which would have been about October, so 10/11 months behind !

Wow hurrah an appointment at last ,you have certainly had a ridiculously long wait. Fingers crossed they are able to do something to help with the blurriness . You must have had to sit down with the shock of actually getting an appointment. I hope it goes well for you, let us know how you get on . X

They must have decided to give an early birthday present 😊. Hopefully the fact it's just before your birthday it's a good sign .

I am thanks Floki , we've just had a few days away in St Andrews, which was great . I'm waiting on my next eye appointment at moment but all was well at my recent opticians check up so should be fine . Hope all is good with you too ?

Its good to get away even just a few days, glad you enjoyed it, good luck on your next appointment, sounds like it will be fine, so wish you well. Yes all good here, I am in the middle of upcycling some pine wardrobes, which will need some fine cutting in on some scroll work, so with my eyesight that will be a challenge Lol ! Best wishes.

You definitely keep yourself busy and always have a project . Your wardrobes sound great, the extent of my upcycling involves slapping some Annie Sloan paint on, no skill required at all 😊.Yes it was great to get away and Lu was obsessed with the miles and miles of sand as we only have want here when the tide is way out .

Everything crossed for you tomorrow Floki x

Hi Witchie, yes not too bad news, my better eye is stable with the pressures, the Trab eye vision is blurred because of a small cataract, so a new consultant who I have not seen before, said she would see me again in 4 - 6 months to check my better eye, and refer me to a colleague who specialises in cataract removal on patients who have Glaucoma and post op Trab surgery. So another journey begins ! x

in reply tofloki7

That wasn't too bad then and good that your better eye is stable and also now you know why the vision in trab eye is blurry . Unfortunately cataracts are pretty common after trab surgery but at least this consultant is going to refer you to a specialist. Fingers crossed it's not such a long wait this time and then after the op you will be able to see properly again. I know eye ops are horrible but after surviving a trab the cataract op is a dawdle 😃.I did it the other way round cataract first then trab !!! Did she give you any indication how long it might be until you are seen ? I'm glad for you that the blurriness is something that can be dealt with.I have been at a street market today, I bought plants ,succulents but no idea what they are called but they have lovely flowers 🤣. I also got homemade gingerbread and banana loaf and still have change from a tenner !!!

Enjoy your weekend,I hope it's not too hot for you and your wee dog to get out for a walk. It's roasting up here ,not something I say very often.

Take care x

Thanks Witchie, no, not sure how long it will be before I see this other specialist, so hopefully not to long ! Yes its too hot to take the dog out in this heat, I take him for a short walk about 6.30 am then he goes out in the evening for an hour. I love a street market, with stalls selling lots of sweet goodies and special foods, unfortunately the District council charged the stall holders ridiculous amounts of money for a pitch, that they all packed up, we also had a great cattle market, sadly no more. Will let you know the next steps, as they happen. Best wishes.

in reply tofloki7

Yes hopefully you won't have to wait too long to see the consultant. Waiting is the worst . We have had rain this evening so it wasn't quite as muggy when taking Lu out , thunderstorms tomorrow apparently!!!

Our street market was held in the village car park at no cost to the stall holders at all .

Yes let me know when you hear from consultant .
