Hi Happy Christmas to you all. For the amount of people on this site with glaucoma, there are not many of you writing about your experiences. We need to know what's going on with you. Perhaps a new drop you have tried, side effects, or treatments. Or a research article that is interesting to share.
Its very scary when you get a new drop or a new procedure suggested. Side effects being one of them, some people get them some don't.
Let's all promise to share good news as well as not so good news. Information is the key, let's face it they can only hopefully control glaucoma with drops and use eye pressure as a guideline. However as we know on this site everyone is individual. A cure is needed clearly or a better way of treating pressure without eye drops.
Happy New Year to all of you valfrance

Hi Val. Happy NY when it comes I didn’t want to read and run as it looks like no replies yet. I just wanted to say I do tend to agree what you say and for someone who has lived with glaucoma for 17 years, I probably don’t share enough so will try to contribute more this coming year. I don’t actively check this site on a regular basis but rely on email updates. I find with any support forum, too much of it can affect your day to day mindset and there’s a risk of over thinking the disease. That said, I will make more of an effort
I know what you mean. I did recently contribute my thoughts to NICE on SLT as it’s increasingly likely that SLT will become the first line of treatment for those newly diagnosed with Glaucoma in the UK. I do wonder though how many hospital eye departments have the laser equipment though.
