hi just been diagnosed with glaucoma just had my first laser treatment on both eyes but was then told it would be split into 2 sessions due to large pigments is this normal or should I be worries thank you

Hello. Your conultant obviously feels this is the best option for you due to the large pigments. This is nothing to worry about,but if you do have any concerns it is always best to discuss it with your consultant.

Hi sprinsgsteen2021! I’m having SLT on one of my eyes and it is being done in 2 sessions too. I had half my meshwork done a month ago and the other half is being done this Saturday. I was surprised the treatment was being split but the doctor who did the procedure said the consultant believed it lowered the chance of a pressure spike as it limited the inflammation post treatment. I hadn’t heard argument that before.
