GBS positive and having sex

There is so much conflicting information about being able to have sex whilst having GBS. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and would like to know if it is safe to have sex with my husband? Will it makes things worse?

Thank you.

Hello TazzMaraz and thank you for asking this question. The charity is not able to offer advice (only information) – if you need medical advice or would like more information, you should seek this from your health care providers. However, I hope this information will help. GBS is not a sexually transmitted disease. GBS carriage is not a disease. I hope this helps and answers your question
