Little is known--empirically-- about the origins of our disease complex. Technically, we exhibit a group of symptoms that require treatment on a case by case basis, whether it's CFS, IPN, AI, HT, FM,ME,OA,IBS, GERD,glaucoma, polycythemia, (all of which I have). Forget trying to find a singular "cause." Just assemble a treatment team and let them treat your symptoms. I'd suggest a PCP (to manage your case and treat BP, trigs, LDLs, and general health issues), a neurologist for pain, a dermatologist, and an endocrinologist for hormonal and deficiency issues. Neuronton is really a forerunner of more effective drugs such as Cymbalta and Lyrica. CFS? Get a blood panel with a T4, TSH and other measures Make sure Your thyroid numbers are within the new parameters--.3 to 3.0. Stop searching; the answers you seek are not in the existing literature. Enjoy life!

Hi drtx74,Thanks for your reply.

I have a very good GP,I have been with him for the last eight years,he has referred me to rheumatology. The first five years ago. He suggested Psoriatic Arthritis and tried various drugs, non of which worked for me,then he gave up. I was sent to the pain clinic, given a tens machine and cortisol injections, but they only treat you for three months, then you are on your own. I was then referred to another rheumatologist, who did the usual bone checks but nothing else. My next appointment was to be in a year,to see if there was degeneration. That appointment was ten months late and the rheumatologist was not even in the hospital. I was seen by a register, she started the whole procedure over again, she didn't know how she was supposed to proceed.

Meanwhile I have been referred to an endo. here again I have only seen registers. The last one (they change every time I go.) said I have a virus why back in 1979 and my ill health started then, but never mind keep taking the tablets and no further action. I do have other issues but no one seems interested.

As I said I have a good GP,he is happy to monitor me and hand out prescriptions if I can tolerate the drugs. I have kept going as long as I have been able to but feel I am at the end of my tether. Constantly tired and in pain. I need some help,I've still got three years to go before I can retire and don't think I can face those three years

I am not enjoying life and don't suppose I ever will.
