Hello dear fnd friends Yet again I feel totally useless, it's a strange felling when you feel so dizzy and feels like your head is going to fall.off your shoulders, I've been very stressed the last couple of days my boss as suggested that I give my notice in being has I can no longer work , but I feel that I may lose my benefits if I do this , he said if the company has to go down the medical route it will cost them money 💰 , I fully understand why he wants me to give my notice in so that he can employ someone else to do my job . I've asked the questions to UC but waiting for a reply.
I think the stress isn't helping me any advice please.

Sorry to hear that you are having to deal with this. I'm not an employment expert but I would be very careful about making yourself unemployed by handing your notice in, this can impact ant benefits you may be on.Your employer has to consider if they want to make you redundant on health grounds. You may be entitled to redundancy pay and if you have a pension scheme then employer could need to retire you early on health grounds.
I would certainly look to get some good advice and would not hand my notice in.
I 100% agree with GreenCottage out of my own experience with this let them sack you as it looks better on you for claims like u-credit so on so on.
It’s sad they are playing the guilt card of money and the cost of it to guilt you into leaving
Most council have a section for free advice on these types of matters and will even help you fill out the forms and make sure you get what you need your wife can also claim carers allowance every little helps
It’s going to be a horrible ride but you will be ok even if does not feel like it the unknown is a scary place to be
I am going to agree as well and to be honest feel slightly angry that they are doing this to you its emotional blackmail trying to get you to hand your notice in. I come from a place of being retired on health grounds and was 56 when this happened. Do check with the benefits office and do check with your neurologist or hospital doctor in charge of your care and get a feel for what you’re financial income will look like before you go ahead with any decisions. Apply for PIP while you are still in work and any carer type allowance if you live with a partner or family member who is not employed at present. Also check with your medical doctor because mine told me I need to be ready completely about my decision because when he wrote the report I should know that no one will want to employ me again. It’s a lot to think about and when you start these checks it will give you a feel for what retirement looks like in respect of standard of living. Now the cost to the company should not even be a thing because they would be paying your pension anyway and all this means is they are paying it sooner and am pretty sure there are some tax benefits that off set wage and pension payments. Good luck and just do the checks as at least you will feel more in control.
Hi. don't give in your notice it will effect your UC, thats bullying and guessing this is your new boss?
I am with what everyone has been saying and ACAS is another port of call. I am guessing your SSP is nearly up (think thats 28 weeks in a given period).
Have you anything documented from the Company saying that you can't work.
I found this on the Scope website, your employer needs to tread carefully as they have to abide by the equality act. Make sure at your next meeting you have someone with you as a witness.
