Does anyone else have Dissociative Identity Disorder as well as FND?
I know FND can cause many symptoms and vary widely even in non-plural people but wondered specifically if anyone else had alters and if specific ones identified with specific symptoms?
Eg maybe Alter A always comes out if symptoms are walking difficulties, Alter B is always the one out when you’re having a good day with no symptoms. alter C maybe the one that deals with it when you’re really in pain or need to go to hospital as others can’t cope with hospital etc??
Also anyone had a an alter always have that symptom even if it wore off …. Eg maybe Alter A once experienced severe walking issues but you since recovered but when they come out they still have a fear of falling and will always still use walking aids or wheelchair, even though the body recovered from that episode…. And other Alters maybe able to walk now if they switch?
Thanks

Your reflections are very interesting and thoughtful. In therapy there is the understanding of us all having sub personalities, different parts, that are operating. Getting to know the different parts of us can bring great insights into ourselves in becoming more integrated. We can meditate on each sub personality asking 'what do you want' 'what do you need'? Finding answers and awareness of lost parts of ourselves, such as, the hurt child or the rebellious adolescent, for example.
hi, this is a very interesting thought . I have episodes where I literally feel that I am sitting in my own head and can hear and see everything. In reality I have been told that I am just staring into space. I do have changes in personality like getting quieter or angry, my wife appears to know what is happening or going to happen like pain wise. It’s an interesting view point I’m sure you will get a lot of responses. Kevin
