I also have gastroparesis. Been sick all year. Lost 25 lbs. Due to vomiting . 2 hospitalizations. No help in my town. Have to travel more than 3 hours to Mayo Clinic for tests. And then....POOF.... the neuro says I also have FND. And that i should be happy because i will walk without my walker someday. At least it's"not in my head"

Did he/she say how you are going to be able to get rid of the walker? Is there a treatment plan? Good to hear they didn't just bounce you to a psychiatrist though, because that's what usually happens with FND, especially in N. America....I was told by a psychiatrist that my walker was like "don't hit me, I've got glasses". I couldn't believe my ears. He told me a lot of other bonkers stuff that made me wonder about HIS mental health, LoL!

Have to find aPT place and a new shrink. I am bipolar but my shrink is nuts...

I met a nurse recently who used to work in a local psych unit. She said she quit because the doctors were crazier than the patients!
