Once again thank you for your help and support, I had another GP visit today and it went much better, I was very polite, but told him that sometimes I don't feel heard and understood, that I need his support and help to manage my symptoms while I wait to be seen by a specialist and this time I felt heard. Anyone who is struggling please stay strong, I know how difficult it can get, we're here to help each other. Sending my best wishes to you all

Hats off to you #IFeltHeard
If anything is going to reduce the 'plague' (to quote Prof Stone) of stigma surrounding conditions like FND it's being heard. Bravo, Simona35 - this is how we empower people to better health.
Hi, one of the things highlighted in the "Diagnosis" 3rd Podcast was "validing the patient" making sure they know they are being heard and hopefully many specialists all around the world tuned in.I am glad you got heard this time.
Its such an stressful and emotional journey and thats what the all medical professionals need to realise, especially the GPs as they are often the first port of call and if the diagnosis is not delivered correctly then envitably they are going to make the patients more stressed.
