Hi Catz128 - my pleasure. I think validation is hugely important, whatever condition we have. When I listened to this I felt sad that although the professionals talk about the great progress that's been made with FND over the last 20 years, the lived experiences of people with it still includes experiencing trauma (eg via 'scorn') in medical settings. I'm also aware that people are still being given 'dustbin' FND diagnoses and that a lot of people with post Covid symptoms (especially in the UK and especially women) feel that they have been inappropriately labelled with FND in the absence of any of the 'positive signs' needed for the diagnosis.Meanwhile I find myself wondering if FND-Portal has been misdiagnosed with FND when he may have PTSD. I guess he could have both and/or be in an intersection between the two.
