Hereditary FND??

So recently diagnosed with FND. Main issue is chronic fatigue and pain/weakness in limbs. Inability to control eye muscles and other things.

Anyhow. My sister over the past year is now showing similar symptoms.

Shes had bloods done etc and only thing showed up was lack of follic acid which she was supplimented with. She has had a period of complete wellness ( which made her realise just how ill she had become as its such a gradual decline you dont realise until you are fully well again just how much you were unable to do) but now she is suddenly crashing again.

She is freaking out as she now knows what to expect.

She asked me what i had as we are so similar and i tried to explain (but to be honest im finding it difficult to get my head around it myself) so i attached some links for her given by you guys.

My brother also complains of " having my batteries removed today" and totally gets the feeling of total exhaustion when i talk to him.

So...is it possible for this to run in families??

I'm not a medical doctor but I have seen some research that says that female first degree relatives are much more likely to develop it if another female family member has it. No infomation about how that impacts males, but I suspect with the variance in diagnosis rates by sex means they don't have as much infomation on if the same happens for male relatives
