anyone had the analegy of computer software gone wrong with fnd instead of as in parkinsons or ms its the hardware, well i suppose it makes sense, but with having a good understanding of computers my thought is before putting ing in new software you remove the problem software or eventually the problem software will corrupt the new software , and if the software is so corrupted you eventually have to either replace the hard drive or buy a new computer

another analegy i like to use when questioning doctors is ,if you were a chef and had a food mixer that was vital to getting large quantities of food prepared every day and the motor started to burn out and all you did was add more attatchments would that remedy the problem , no it wouldnt it could be quite dangerous as the motor would have to do extra work and possibly catch fire

sorry if that confused anyone its just that i know doctors try their best but i feel that they do not truelly understand fnd and more needs to be done to find a cure to fix this problem

Yep yep yep. I once asked the Consultant wasn’t it more like an old telly that when it went on the blink a good old thud sorted it out. So why not medically thump my head. No such luck. If I hear the analogy once more I’m going rock ‘n’ roll diva and chucking the doctor’s PC out the window 📺

When I first got diagnosed with epilepsy 29 year's ago they said it was like walking in a field and instead of walking the same path everyone has made with the grass trodden, you'rebrain is making a fresh new path no one has walked. When I started having blackouts in 09 they said it was like turning off a light switch and turning it on again, but it takes my brain longer to switch on. Now with FND it's all about my brain being a computer and rebooting itself. Thanks for the explanation, but it still doesn't help me deal, cope or live with my these disabilities.
