Hi, I have had FND for over 3 years now, over the last year or so I have been getting severe pain in my hips after standing for more than a few minutes. Now I am waking up with both legs dead, and unable to move them much at all. They feel like when you lay on your arm and it goes dead. Does anyone get the same.
Many thanks

I'm sorry to say yes, and mine has got worse and spread to the rest of my body up to my chin. I have had fnd or funcational gait disorder if you want to use the neurorist team, it started with losing the feeling in one leg over night and in my arm, so they thought I'd had a stroke. When that was ruled out, I was out of hosptal within the hour! Now as I said after so may different hospital appointments and treatments, I still cannot feel my legs and use a wheelchair and mobility scooter to get about as I cannot walk very far at all, about 20 steps, but on good days and if I think about my walking I can do more before my back starts a to hurt. But nothing massive, and trust me, I have a 9 year old son, and the times I just want to go and play football with him, and kick the ball, it's heart breaking. All I can say, is take each day at a time, and hope and pray that one day they will find a result and cure for fnd xx
Yeh I have that and it's so it has got worse recently especially since going back into hospital after a fall...
