Well I done it again tonight, I turned on on thd hot water tap in the kitchen and walked away, it wasn't until my wife was calling me about it ,I completely forgot it ,luckily no damage I'm just grateful it wasn't upstairs. Does anyone know what I can do to help my self from doing this again its happening far to often.

hello Littlecook, yes this is a constant for me as well. My best suggestion is to try to focus on one task at a time. I used to be great at multitasking but this is no longer an option. I try to just focus fully on one thing and be present in the activity I'm doing. It also really helps to distract me from whatever other pain, twitch, etc. that my body is trying to get me to focus on instead. I just try to focus on task at hand before moving on or I find I leave a bunch of half-assed projects open

Hello, I agree that focussing on one task at a time is good advice. But far easier said than done. In any case, I have two digital timers in the house: one by the cooker to remind me not only of timings but that I am cooking, or running a sink of water; and one upstairs - if I am running a bath ( rare these days but I would easily forget without the timer), or something critical. I also use my phone alarm for evening medication and if there's something that needs to be done at a certain time.

These help but it's still a real pain, and worry, at times.
