Hi Got diagnosed with FND in May when i colapled i spent 60 days in hospital were they released i had compression of the spine, i was taken to my renal hospital as i am on dialysis after a failed kidney transplant in 2018. I have now lost the ability to walk and struggle to remember even such things as my address some times, i have vacant times, and i have phases of being paralysed down my left side i spam's and shakes and twitches. In hospital i was given Covid-19 and finally coming out end of April. Since then i have have had no spinal surgery as they have said the risk/reward and the FND would stop me from qualifying from it. I am now stuck in a room upstairs in my house in a wheelchair with no treatment from no one. The neurologist who diagnosed with NFD in May also saw me in hospital she said go look at a web site for more information i will see you in November. I am now looking for advice on Where i go from here is there a center i can go to a doctor who will see me.? I am desperate it has been 140 days i have not walked and i have no help.........thanks if you can help.

Hi Got diagnosed with FND need advice.
Hey sorry to hear this what a really tough time you’ve been having. Where about in the U.K. are you based as there are a few FND specialist centres dotted about.
Thanks
Hi Lucy i live in Southampton. It would be great to find a center or any place that can help i don't even get physio at the moment because of covid-19 there are no service's operating so just stuck in 2 rooms in the upstairs of a house in a wheelchair unable to get out and they won't come to me, i do dialysis myself at home but that is a struggle every day . I am finding out know though that anything else that is wrong with me know they are just putting down to FND even though they don't know anything about it ie breathing, pains in my fingers/bones that i think might be arthritis/osteoporosis as they were looking at that before, i have just been written off im trying to do a degree through the Open uni but my memory is really going so need to get it sorted before the term restarts in October. I've gone from being stupidly active and without sounding arrogant was very sharp as i ran 5 restaurants and controlled all there budgets and was a talented chef now all i do is lie in bed 24/7 in pain unable to use my legs and barely unable to use my left arm. Sorry to spout off. thanks for your help. Just so over this already.
