Hi

Im 55 and I had a disc decomposition August 2017 shortly after the operation I noticed a problem with my left leg then left arm followed by a tremor and inadvertently chucking a mug across the room. Then my short term memory went followed by right hand side weakness some mornings I wake up unable to move either arm or leg and just lie there hopping they start to work again lasts for between 20mins and 30mins.

Left exhausted nearly all the time, suffer with vertigo on and off. I was told by neurologist I should start to get better in the next 12 months we’ll here I am and I ain’t getting better suffering from severe depression have a wife with progressive MS which also has same symptoms as FND.

Yesterday left arm failed to want to work for over 3 hours then it still didn’t come back fully and shoulder is stiff and painful. You are not alone regards ramp get your doctor to send people to assess your house and see if you need a ramp stair lift etc if you in a council house it’s free if not I think it’s mean tested.

We have grab rails toilet heighteners stair lift and ramp out front.

You can also apply for PIP which is two parts mobility and care and PIP is not means tested.
