This article is one of several in a MedPage Today series called "Medical Journeys". In combination with the earlier PCa articles in the series (linked via this article), it provides a good overview/guide to patients who, along with their medical team, are trying to determine the best treatment approach to use for their diagnosed disease state.
Many who read here already know most of what this article provides, but it should be useful to the newly-diagnosed and also serve as a refresher-read for those already in treatment. I have reproduced the description of the Medical Journeys series below. A link to the entire article follows that.
"Medical Journeys" is a set of clinical resources reviewed by physicians, meant for the medical team as well as the patients they serve. Each episode of this journey through a disease state contains both a physician guide and a downloadable/printable patient resource. "Medical Journeys" chart a path each step of the way for physicians and patients and provide continual resources and support, as the caregiver team navigates the course of a disease.
