All. I'm considering trying two months of Doxy followed by vitamin C. There is a considerable amount of literature on the potential effect of the combination therapy on prostate cancer stem cells. However, there is very little discussion of dose and the the literature is quite clear that the effectiveness is highly dose dependent. Has anyone tried this therapy and if so what dose of doxy and "C" are you using?" Has anyone seen any studies that support effective dose of either?

Doxycycline-Vitamin C Regimen Dose?
Have you read the Jane mclelland book? I am awaiting a copy and expect it's in there. I may be able to help soon as have a report to read re my prostate issue from the Boyd clinic in new zealand
Hi. I am planning an assault in any cancer stem cells. Look up Doxycycline + Azithromycin + vitamin C from Lisanti. I plan 100mg Doxycycline + 250mg Azithromycin + 1g of oral vitamin C every 90 minutes plus deoxy hydo ascorbic acid. Look that one up on YouTube for instructions on prep. I think about 1g per hour to get the vit C up to 250ug. My best guess the 2 types of vitamin C are essential to get to the required concentration. I plan 3 consecutive days.
Lisanti's version of azithromycin, doxy, and Vitamin C--some info:

Have you thought about Vitamin C infusions also... I am looking hard at this protocol but want to get my DNA results from Somatic testing before proceeding...
Good luck...

Hi Don. No I haven't seen this publication but I got the original research paper. I don't think it's DNA type dependent. I have emailed Lisanti and his Mrs and another in the team but they don't reply. I prefer to be self sufficient so no infusions. And I'm too cheap, lol. If a tame nurse will stick a port in for me for the price of a pint I might go that route. As I said before I'm intending ascorbic acid plus home made DHAA to get the vit C conc I need.
Doxycycline 100 mg daily should be good, and adding Azithromycin will potentiate it's cancer killing abilities.
I am also starting this treatment and like you I don't prefer the IV route vitamin C.
Are you making your own DHAA? I think it is the only way if you are going the orsl route. Have you made any yet?
I saw that video about how to prepare the liposomal vitamin C at home. I have to do more research about its safety oral use
Liposomal doesn't look good. The video on DHAA explains all. Message me if you try. I think there is a better way to assess the completion of reaction when you make it.
Did you settle on a protocol?
Not for vitamin C. But I am taking Fenbendazole 3 days on 4 days off. Doxycycline100 mg twice daily for the 4 off days (alternatively with Fenbendazole). Melatonin 20 mg at night. Since there are no reported serious side effects for above medications I will continue this (modified) protocol. Tagamet 400 mg twice daily 3 months on and 1-2 months off. No plans for vitamin C high dose yet.
I would be very interested in any updates.
My husband wants to take vitamin c for constipation but based on what I’ve read moderate doses of vitamin c are a very bad idea with PCa. He is using 2400mg of liposomal vitamin C for effective help with constipation.
Found this thread and info of this study while looking for more vitamin c info and thought we might give this a go.
I gave it a go over a 3 day intensive blast. I can't imagine that stem cells are producing any PSA to speak of, but my PSA was marginally down since my previous test 2 months earlier. I took a gram per hour of oral C and a gram per hour of DHAA. No adverse effects until I vomited at the end of 3 days. I think it was the raw zucchinis remaining in the DHAA.. A real ball-ache to make enough DHAA. Cheers
Why treat constipation with vitamin C? Magnesium capsules will have a dual effects at night (help constipation and also is a muscles relaxant).
We've never seen that suggestion. He's battled chronic constipation for a long time, made worse by prostate issues, and vitamin c has been the only thing that helped him have more regular "action." Can you give me more info on magnesium capsules for constipation? Dosage? That would be GREAT! I had taken him off vitamin c and a few days ago he took it and it made him "go." I would prefer he not use it that way at low levels. He's been using Trulance and Linzess intermittently, and when it gets really bad he'll use magnesium citrate. Thanks for the reply and info!
