Diapers???
Hi alfredoghi 1 -- it varies a lot--some lucky people are continent just above right away, not sure how small a minority they are but I'd bet pretty small--for most of us it takes some time, and two weeks is really early--so don't get discouraged--you may start to notice less loss of urine after a few weeks or a couple months, and there's, at least they say, improvement still happening in some people for up to a year an d a half--but you are REALLY early on, so relax, if you can! Hope your recovery is going well in other respects--pain, mobility, etc. And also hope you have a sexual ability plan or have discussed all that with your doc.....but the incontinence is a real bear to put up with, however long it lasts
Hi again. So you had the surgery? You were concerned about choosing that or radiation You've had the catheter out, that disturbed you. Now it's the pads. It's another stage on the prostate cancer journey and you're making progress. Can't say how long the leaking will last, it's a "how long is a piece of string" thing. It may go in stages. First it's all the time even when lying down. Then it's only on standing, bending or coughing. Then it's only on coughing or crouching. Then maybe it's just dribbling a bit just after a wee. I'm stuck at that after six years, but I've learned how to squeeze and shake!
Incidentally, I suffer from climacticUria, when I orgasm, sometimes, I ejaculate urine.
Urine's not a bad thing, it's not the dirty thing we think it is. It's sterile and slightly acid. Makes a good antiseptic. As long as you clean it off regularly it doesn't really cause any problems.
Hi timzz! Thank u very much for r answer!!you really encourage me!
