My 1st PSA report's was
8.17 U/ L.
After using Ciprofloxacin 500 mg tabs 2 in a day for 10 days along with one Capsule of Tamsulosin 0.4mg/ 0.5 mg daily.
Now yesterday 2nd psa report's result came as 5.37 U/ L.
Can PSA will go down if I continue these medicines of 10 days more.
Looking forward for experts replies.

Have you had a biopsy to rule out cancer?
No biopsy in past.
Recently on the basis of PSA result they want to do 12 needle biopsy. I am afraid as am patient of Cardiac &Hypertension, use beta blocker + Aspirin.
In my opinion my PSA can go down further by the medicines Ciprofloxacin & Tamsulosin capsules. It may be due to infection as since last 12 years I was having severe burning at the time of ejaculation. I can not explain the severity of burning.
Kindly advise please.

Hello again! I would say you need to continue the Ciprofloxacin for at least 4 weeks to get full benefit. So it MAY come down further. I hope it does
Hi there ,I was prescribed ciprofloxacin 500 mm to when I first got enlarged prostate?its mainly used to try and control the infected prostate glan?after using it for three months daily?I was given a biopsy to see if the enlarged prostate glan for Cancerous?which fortunately then wasn't? It had taken all most three years later to progress to Cancer?have no doubt once you have enlarged prostate glan?its only time before its turns in to cancer?you GP or Urolgy Consultant should keep close Eye on Your PSA reading from Now on?dont panics but it's early stage Yet?but first sines of Cancer Developing?now good time to change yr diet?Cut down sugar dairy produce?eat healthy excise all the elements would delay your cance?from developing earlier my friend?still early stage?its properly take few years before your PSA rises and cancer will develop?start to monitor your health and diet very importantly which you well in yr Journey?
