Hiya I have been put on buprenorphine patches as i am allergic to morphine.Has anyone else had these and how did it affect you? thanks xx

Hi, i had those patches last christmas they were good but i had an allergic reaction to the patches. I now take zomorph a slow release morphine tablet, they are good too only downside for me is a side effect...constipation! you cant win.....good luck to you xxx

Hi I was on the patches for a few years , My GP started me at 5mg and eventually ended up on 30 mg they did help a little but I started seeing a consultant from the pain clinic who said the patches were good but would help as much as tramodol , the reason being the patches only worked on surface pain where as tramdol was made to help with surface and deep pain , he started me on tramdol and then I slowly weened of the patches . Now after a year of talking tramdol I've been told to come of these , it's been a living nightmare the side effects are herrendous ! Stick to your patches as long as you can x

Thank you I have now had my dose increased as my nerve pain is getting worse will try to keep on them and see how it goes xxxx
