Are you sure it is the P45 and not the P60 that they do send out annually which replace the P45 when you receive benefits. If it is a P45 have you not been on benefits for very long or have you recently been told that your benefit is going to end? Sorry I can't say any more to help. If you are at all worried get on the phone and ask them what it is all about as they should have sent you information explaining it. Hope you get an answer properly really soon to stop you wondering and worrying.

I had my assessment and got the dreaded phone call to tell me I got no points ...so...a week later I got my P45 . I am appealing the decision but it was a bit of a shock to get the P45 all the same . Then to cap it all my in capacity benefit stopped on July 31st and as of today I am still living on fresh air ! Hopefully there should be some money in the bank for me tomorrow.
I had one too. It is just end of Incapacity Benefit and start of ESA. Somebody at DWP has obviously gone a bit jobsworth!

I had a P45 sent to me this week. I too am now living on fresh air as Im not sick enough to get ESA (according to ATOS and appeal judges who havent got a clue about how I live with the dreaded Fibro), and Im too sick for JSA, as my GP gave me a sick note and the Jobcentre closed my claim. Thats when the P45 appeared. So.....what now??? Not a clue. I am so scared about the immediate future. I cannot see an end to this lunacey. There isnt a box for me to slot into, like 1000s of others. But the law says you have to have "so much" to live on. Where is it then?? OMG Im SOOOOOOO sick of this new system. But good luck.
