Thanks Diddle! I did look it up online & you're right- there is a lot of information! I've never heard of abdominal migraines in my life-- I thought the Dr. was joking... But I'm glad, at least, that we have an answer now & we know how to start treatment. Love to you, too! :)

Yes my daughter has them all the time as diddle said some get headaches and some children get stomach pains. My dr said my daughters is brought on by stress.

Thanks, Fairylady! (I love fairies, too!). The doc has started my daughter on migraine meds, and it seems to be helping. I don't know how to reduce her stress... high school IS very stressful... But I'm gonna try to go easier on her around the house. :) Take care! XO

That's great to know, Jumarcat! I really hope my Mia grows out of them... If she doesn't, the Dr. says that they may just turn into regular migraines. I'll keep my fingers crossed! :) Take care! XO

both my youngest daughter and my middle son were dx with this from an early age

I used to get them when I was at school - they were called bilious attacks (sp) in those days. My mum was told you grow out of them. Adults only get the headaches!

Thanks, Lindz! Yeah, they told me that she may grow out of them. I'm hoping so! Right now, the migraine meds seem to be helping, but I don't want her to be on them forever. Do you get the headaches, now? how did you & your Mum treat your attacks?

Hugs back to you! :)
