I haven't been able to take any Fibo meds out due to side effects, am only on pain meds.. is there anyone else like this?
The only 'fibro meds' are pain meds. There isnt anything to cure it, just pain relief to help control it. Sorry
no there are lots of meds used for other illnesses that are used. Seizure meds, depression meds. , and non narcotic meds. I am taking narcotic meds daily,

I have just answered pottydog's question about complementary therapies. Like you any conventional medicine makes me really very ill, that is it gives me even more problems than I already have !! But I only take co-codamol at present for fibro. If you have a look at my answer it could help, at least with ideas 
Tai chi and Qui Gong also help when I have the patience.

hi i do take alot of meds but have had to go through alot of them and had some awful side effects to get to ones that suit me so it is trial and error i am afraid i hope that you find something that helps love to you diddle x
I'm taking paracetemol and ibuprofen at the moment , I've been through quite a few prescribed drugs, none of which have agreed with me . I can't even take the pravastatin for my high cholesterol at the moment because it burns my stomach lining. So you're not alone azhelen
I guess it's a case of weighing up the benefits of each drug with the severity of the side effects and keep going until something bearable is found.

As others have said all meds we use are used for pain relief, no others meds available for this condition !!!!
