I take it for pain and restless leg syndrome. Works for me.

Hi Kaymayes, I've taken it for about 6 years. I vary the dosage depending on how good/bad my symptoms are and find it works well for me. I have tried other pain-killers and have supplimented Gabapentin when really struggling. As far as I'm concerned, it has the fewest side effects for me!

I told a locum I did this, i.e. varied the dose, then he freaked me out by telling me I was in danger on having epileptic fits so now he's got me on one higher dose which am not happy with

Never worked for me, too many side effects so I stopped it.

Hi this has been the best thing i have ever tried.

I am quite good with tablets and have very few side affects.

It is far better than cocodamol and it helps me sleep.

It works for some and not for others.... Sadly not for me, but I am now being referred to a pain clinic so will update you on what they suggest for me...

Gentle hugs x

its worked well for me, no side effects, however after 3 years use, i feel its not as good as it was as my body has adjusted to it, and been told by GP to taper my dose down, and he will try me on pregabalin, however for me gabapentin is great , felt like it was a wonder drug when i went on it, however a friend of mines in leeds went on it and it made her dizzy, so you can but try x

I have just started on gabepentin last Friday so today is the first day when I take 3, already I can feel a some difference in the pain I get at night in my hips, I have been getting terrible hip pain at night and then it started to be painful when walking, i take Tramadol and paracetamol already, I still get the hip pain but it is not as bad and anything that reduces the pain has got to be good. My partner even remarked that I slept better last night !

I was on Gabapentin for a long time. By the time I got it changed to Pregabalin I was taking 16 of them a day which I was not happy with and all they did was keep upping my dosage.

I would go back on it again if they thought I should but it works differently for everybody. All I will say is give it some time to kick in.
